That’s how John Casablancas, the model’s husband, and Alain Kittler started in 1972, in Paris, Elite Model Management. To add even more flavor to the story, Casablancas opened the agency with the money saved while working for Coca-Cola in Brazil.
Today, the model agency represents over 2000 models from around the world, offers international coverage for 35 agencies in its network, and holds the annual talent scouting contest, the Elite Model Look, which launched in 1983.
